Iran Gabbeh Rug Unique Soft Spring

The gentle blue of the water is magnificently reflected in this hand-knotted nomadic rug from southern Iran. The different shades of colour show the lightness of the spring. Small goats can be seen in the corners of the rug. The weaver lovingly knotted the unique piece by hand, in the open air and without a pattern, purely from her imagination. The natural dyes for the rug are derived from flowers and tubers, and the hand-spun virgin winter wool comes from sheep in the Zagros Mountains. Due to the high residual fat content in the Zagros wool, the rug is extraordinarily dirt-resistant and hard-wearing. 

Our direct import price means that you buy our rugs between 25 - 35% cheaper than traditional retail, because we select and buy the rugs directly on site in the country of origin. This also means that there is no intermediate trade between us and the manufacturer. We pass this price advantage on to our customers in full.
