The beautiful oriental rug was very finely hand-knotted in the city of Nain. Nain is a small town, east of Isfahan, located right on the edge of the Dasht-e Lut desert. Typical for the Nain rugs is the traditional shape of the medallion. All contours of the pattern have been finely woven with high-quality natural silk, the rest of the pile is made of the best new wool. Colours such as blue, cream or beige are predominantly used for this type of oriental rug. Other colours can also occur, but are used less frequently. Nain rugs with red or gold backgrounds are therefore rare, unique pieces. Today, these oriental rugs are often used for ultra-modern interior concepts and are therefore real statement pieces.

As our oriental rugs are hand-knotted, it is possible that small wool threads may push upwards at the beginning. This is not a material defect, but the testimony of a genuine, hand-knotted rug. The threads can easily be cut off with scissors. We recommend using a hoover with a flat nozzle. This is more gentle on the handmade rug. As this rug is a purely natural product, stains can generally be removed very easily and without complications. Simply wash the stain out with neutral soap and water. Under no circumstances should you use chemical cleaning agents, as the rug is made of pure natural materials and the wool will then be attacked. If you have more persistant stains or you want to give the rug a thorough cleaning after some time, then the hand-knotted rugs can be washed. We offer this rug washing service for our rugs.
