Description

This charming nomadic rug is a real, original Gabbeh rug from Iran. The colorful rug shows abstract leaves, which are joined together to form a large leaf image. The unique piece is hand knotted, with the highest quality highland wool from the Fars region. The wool is very supple, ideal for rug making. It is traditionally hand carded and hand spun. The nomadic rugs are an expression of the art and soul of the nomadic tribes who still live in the Zagros Mountains, in the Fars region. The wool is dyed with natural dyes from roots and plants. All our rugs are suitable for underfloor heating. We also recommend a rug pad for our hand-knotted rugs.

Our direct import price

Our direct import price means that you buy our rugs between 25 - 35% cheaper than traditional retail, because we select and buy the rugs directly on site in the country of origin. This also means that there is no intermediate trade between us and the manufacturer. We pass this price advantage on to our customers in full.

Care instructions

Since our nomadic rugs are hand-knotted, it may be that small wool threads push up at the beginning. This is not a material defect, but the testimony of a genuine hand-knotted rug. The threads can easily be cut off with scissors. We recommend using a vacuum cleaner with a flat nozzle. This is gentler on the handmade rug. Stains can generally be removed very easily and without complications. Simply wash the stain out with neutral soap and water. In no case should you resort to chemical cleaning agents, because the rug is made of natural materials and the wool is then attacked. If you have more stubborn stains, or you want to give the rug a basic cleaning after some time, then the hand-knotted rugs can be washed. We offer this rug washing service for our rugs.   We also recommend using a non-slip rug pad to protect your floor and the rug, and to prevent you from slipping on the rug.
