Our direct import price
Our direct import price means that you buy our rugs between 25 - 35% cheaper than traditional retail, because we select and buy the rugs directly on site in the country of origin. This also means that there is no intermediate trade between us and the manufacturer. We pass this price advantage on to our customers in full.
Our Kilim rugs are either hand-woven, knotted or partly woven and partly knotted in Soumakh technique. We recommend using a hoover with a flat nozzle. This is more gentle on the handmade rug. As this rug is a purely natural product, stains can generally be removed very easily and without complications. Simply wash the stain out with neutral soap and water. Under no circumstances should you use chemical cleaning agents, as the rug is made of pure natural materials and the wool will then be attacked. If you have more persistant stains or you want to give the rug a thorough cleaning after some time, then the hand-knotted kilim rugs can be washed. We offer this rug washing service for our rugs. It is particularly important to use a non-slip rug underlay for the flat kilim rugs. Your floor and the rug are thus protected and you cannot slip on the rug. Since kilim rugs are very flat and therefore tend to slip, an anti-slip underlay is a must.

Each of our carpets is a hand-knotted piece, which is unique in color, design and quality. Each weaver is an individual artist, each virgin wool takes on colors differently and so each time also creates a distinctive rug unique.
Each of our rugs is hand-knotted from sustainable and renewable materials such as virgin wool, natural silk, bamboo silk and goat hair.
Our original Gabbeh rugs from Iran, also known as nomadic rugs, are dyed exclusively with natural dyes. The colors are obtained from plants, barks and roots.
We have been importing hand-knotted rugs from the countries of origin for more than 60 years. We have been a member of Care&Fair since then and require the same from all our partners. Our rugs are therefore fairly traded and manufactured.
