Oriental Rug Kazak

This type of rug was hand-knotted in Afghanistan. The basis for the motifs are old Kazak rugs. Originals are no longer to be found in usable condition.
The octagons (shields) are typical of the origin from the Caucasus. Warp and weft are cotton. The pile is pure new wool, dyed with natural colours. Among other things, henna was used as a dye. The background of the rug has beautiful colour ashes. In contrast, the elements were presented. The colour wash-offs are caused by the natural dyes and the different natural wool (sometimes it is light, sometimes a little darker). This beautiful unique piece radiates harmony and clarity. Due to the high-quality materials, the unique piece is particularly hard-wearing. 

As our oriental rugs are hand-knotted, it is possible that small wool threads may push upwards at the beginning. This is not a material defect, but the testimony of a genuine, hand-knotted rug. The threads can easily be cut off with scissors. We recommend using a hoover with a flat nozzle. This is more gentle on the handmade rug. As this rug is a purely natural product, stains can generally be removed very easily and without complications. Simply wash the stain out with neutral soap and water. Under no circumstances should you use chemical cleaning agents, as the rug is made of pure natural materials and the wool will then be attacked.
