Description
The Meymeh oriental rug comes from the village of the same name, Meymeh, which lies between Isfahan and Ghoum. The hand-knotted rug shows a sea of blossoms, leaves, tendrils and palmettes. In the centre of the unique piece is a small medallion. The drawing is symmetrical. A total of 7 borders run around the classic rug, one main border and 3 secondary borders each to the outside and inside. The drawing is very delicate and the borders are beautifully decorated. The unique piece was very finely hand-knotted by talented weavers and is particularly hard-wearing due to the high-quality materials.
