Oriental Rug Tschobi

The Tschobi rug is one of the classic, hand-knotted oriental rugs and the word means root wood in Persian. In the Afghanistan/Pakistan border region, where our Tschobi rugs come from, the word gives a reference to the plant dyes used for the rugs. The beige sections are often made of undyed virgin wool. Moreover, the rugs have even been hand-knotted from the best, hand-spun virgin wool from Afghanistan. The classic patterns of these rugs make the viewer reminisce about the old times of royal palaces and therefore have an incredible amount of charm and character. Today, these oriental rugs are often used for ultra-modern interior concepts and are therefore real statement pieces.

As our oriental rugs are hand-knotted, it is possible that small wool threads may push upwards at the beginning. This is not a material defect, but the testimony of a genuine, hand-knotted rug. The threads can easily be cut off with scissors. We recommend using a hoover with a flat nozzle. This is more gentle on the handmade rug. As this rug is a purely natural product, stains can generally be removed very easily and without complications. Simply wash the stain out with neutral soap and water. Under no circumstances should you use chemical cleaning agents, as the rug is made of pure natural materials and the wool will then be attacked.
